Liver Cleanse "How To"
Hello again! We hope you’re ready for our “old fashioned liver cleanse/gall-bladder flush!” We have been so excited to share this with you and hope you have the same fantastic results that we did!!
Just remember – as the picture above shows, this is the organ that is going to benefit from all this wonderful effort! Trust us, we ALL need to:
INSTRUCTIONS:
During the week of the flush and the week following it is VERY important to eat clean and light…choosing a vegetarian diet or going gluten/sugar/dairy free will help achieve the best results!
We had to decide if we were going to do a 3 or 5 day cleanse prior to starting – this is what helped us set the proper goal that we wished to attain.
When we chose the 3 or 5 day cleanse, we wanted to prepare by drinking 32 oz. of raw, good quality apple juice with 1 tablespoon of Orthophosphoric Acid, (which helps in softening and flushing stones). We tried to drink the juice between 6am-3pm. One of the most important things we want to remember is to make sure that we don’t become constipated – to prevent this; we may have needed to invest in an herbal laxative.
THE DAY WE BEGAN THE FLUSH: We ate something very light on the stomach for breakfast and lunch. At approximately 6pm, we prepared 24 ounces of filtered water with 4 tablespoons of Epsom salts (magnesium sulfate). This made 4 to 6 glasses.
6:00pm: We drank the first glass.
8:00pm: We drank the second glass.
9:30pm: We realized that some of us hadn’t had a bowel movement, so we suggested a “water enema” – this should trigger a series of bowel movements that won’t be damaging to the intestines. Don’t hesitate to call us at GWC to ask exactly what a ‘water enema’ is. We will be happy to explain!
9:45pm: We then prepared 3-4oz. fresh squeezed grapefruit juice drink – and mixed thoroughly with ½ cup of olive oil. We mixed this in the blender for optimal taste.
10:00pm: While standing next to our bed, we drank the oil mixture (within 5 minutes or less) and laid down on our backs for about 5 minutes with our head on several pillows (our head needed to be higher than our feet). We turned on our right side for at least 20 minutes…we decided that we might want to lay in silence and in the dark, as this is a good time to focus/meditate on the healing that our bodies were going through.
THE MORNING AFTER
6-6:30am: We drank the 3rd glass.
8-8:30am: We drank the 4th glass.
10:00am: We drank fresh pressed fruit juice.
One hour after, we ate something healthy and light on the stomach.
We really took notice of how we felt throughout this entire process. We were kind and gentle to our bodies – we were putting in quite a bit of effort to cleanse our liver/gall-bladder, and we didn’t want to over exert ourselves!
