Feel Good Fridays – School’s OUT for the Summer

While we celebrate our Independence this weekend, we realized that the little ones are officially out of school for the summer!

In celebration of both the holiday, and the chance to spend time with the children in our lives, we wanted to bring you a recipe from our good friend Tess Masters, and her new book, “The Blender Girl Smoothies!”

The “Potassium Plus” smoothie “…deliver ultimate potassium power to normalize blood pressure and maintain fluid and electrolyte balance, which contributes to kidney health. Peaches, apricots, and bananas deliver a healthy dose, as do all three boosters!”

INGREDIENTS:

1 1/2 Cups of Coconut Water
2 Medium Organic Apricots (Pitted and Chopped)
1 Medium Organic Sliced Banana (Fresh or Frozen)
1 Tablespoon of Creamed Coconut
2 Teaspoons Freshly Squeezed Lemon Juice
1 1/2 Cups Organic Frozen Peaches

OPTIONAL BOOSTER:

1/4 Cup Frozen Organic Raw Broccoli Florets
1/2 Cup Organic Loosely Packed Chard Leaves
2 Raw Brazil Nuts

DIRECTIONS:

Throw all of the ingredients into your blender and blast on high for about 1 minute, until smooth and creamy. Enjoy! 🙂
